we have a meridian 11c.

when our attendant leaves at 5 pm she puts her m2250 box console on night call.

then when people call in after hours they should be able to search our phone directory by name.

what we are running into is that many names that should be there are not there.

I thought if you had their name on their extension (ld 95) that would take care of it, but apparently not.

how do you make names available for this after hours directory?

It should be in your voicemail. Look at the mailboxes of the numbers in question and see if the names are there and spelled correctly.

As John said, if it's not programmed in the Vmail it won't work. it doesn't get it from LD 95.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

ah, so thats the reason.

this should be fun.

so I guess my next question is how do you change the name on an octel vmx 200?

Doesnt the octel have a simple screen when you pull up a mailbox? been a while since I used one but I thought you could tab through to the name and just change it.
