I have created a named range in a spreadhseet. I originally had the formula loking for the cell references, but I now wish to change all the formula in the worksheet to look for the named range.

I have looked through the help and it has told me to click in a blank cell and use the insert drop down menu. this then comes back with a message stating that it can't find any occurances. I have also highlighted the relevant cells with the formula in, but it still doesn't work.

I know I can do a find and replace, but i would like to know if there is something i am doing wrong.

Can anyone help please?

Assuming your ranges are in the form such as A1:G3, you can do Insert - Name - Apply. When you get to the Name box, pick the appropriate name, of course.
