I've recently upgraded a NW 5.1 server that was running named.nlm to NW 6.5 SP3.
In NW 5.1 I could actually see the dns lookups in the named screen but this is not the case in 6.5.

How do I configure named in 6.5 to show what it's doing ?

to launch with debug mode IIRC it is

LOAD NAMED.NLM -d1

Actually, on NW6.5, the syntax is:

LOAD NAMED.NLM -DL 1

I believe it was -d1 on NW6.0 and the initial release of NW6.5, but in the later service packs, they changed it.

If you want to get the full syntax, just type in NAMED -WHATEVER and then switch to the logger screen. It will tell you the various syntax options.

Actually, your both wrong, Marv is close, but not complete. You need the -s switch to send out put to the screen.

Go here for the full command line options avilable for NAMED.NLM with in NetWare 6.5;

there is a lot of choices. To just get a status of whats going on, use the command line switch combo of NAMED.NLM -DL -S. This will give you the default gloabl level of 0 and enable all catigories so you can see a large portion of your DNS traffic. If needed, you can enable additional logging levels on the fly for troubleshooting.
