I'm getting the following error on the MS ACCESS REPORT

#Name?

Am I missing an ocx control or dll????

Please help.
Thanks.

Hi!

Most often the #name? error indicates that Access doesn't recognize a reference. Check your spelling carefully and make sure that any function call is spelled correctly too.

Can you post the control source of the field that is displaying that error?

Thanks Jeff - but that doesn't give me a clue. This access program has been working on my pc for a very long time. The references haven't changed and it works on other peoples machines. All function calls are correct and all spelling - is correct. Nothing has changed.

Thanks.

It is a text box with this control source.

=[Forms]![frmCRI].[objReportProfile].[FromDate]

Thanks!

Is the form frmCRI open when the report is open? What does the objReportProfile refer to...is that a control on the form?

Yes. The frmCRI is open when the report opens and populates. Everything on the report populates except for anything that references any textboxes on the form.

Are the values on the form saved to a table? If so, you can just change the control source of the field(s) to the appropriate field in your table.

I figured it out!!! With the application open - click on tools, options, security, select low, and then close application, restart application and he haw - there we have it!!! #NAME? went away!!

Thanks everyone.

I guess that would explain why it was working on other PCs and not yours. You may want to document that just in case that issue rears it's ugly head again.
