We moved our server to a new location and in the process we got a new IP address. Now we need to change the NS2.domain.com IP address. NS1 is correct but ns2 needs changing. Could someone help me out?
That all depends on if you are hosting your own dns server. Assuming that you are, you would just edit the zone file for the domain, which on redhat would be something like :
/var/named/example.com.zone
You just change the IP address associated with ns2.domain.com to the new value, then increment the 'serial' value so that other servers know the zone has been updated.
Alternatively, follow the gui instructions detailed here -->
To change the value in the .com registry you have to go back through the registrar that was used to register the domain (or other registrar if you transferred it since). For example -->
