HI,

I have a report generated from a query. I have a form that the user makes selections from to feed the query. Most are drop down lists. One is where they enter the court date.
I have a text box in the report. It has the expression
=[Forms]![frmStaff_Member]![CourtDate]
with CourtDate being the name for the text box on the form.

I can see the date clearly in Preview but when I print out it prints as #Name? Any suggestions?

No,. I have it close when the report is in print preview. I see the date in the preview fine, but it prints as #Name?

Hi

I cannot see how it can work for either print or preview unless the form is open FORMS is the collection of open forms, so if the form is not open, it is not in the collection

HI,
I can think of two things:
First, make sure the textbox is NOT the name of a field in your Field List.
Second, you may want to rebuild the "=[Forms]!....." with the expression builder.

As KenReay explained, the form must be open for the report to be able to see the value contained in CourtDate.
