Name of Control to open a file

Hi Guys,

I am just looking at the name of a control that enable me to look for a file on my drive from an Access2000 form. This is the kind of control that pops up in every Ms Office application when you click on open.
What I want to do is:
- From a given access form
- Being able to select on my hard drive a file to import it into a table.


Can somebody help on that?

What you need is the MS Common Dialog control. This is a single control that gives you file, print, etc. dialog boxes that are the same ones you see in most Win Apps. Look in the help files or elsewhere on this forum to get specifics on use.

The "usual" solution to this problem that gets posted on these boards is to use the standard Windows 'File Open' API
