All,
I have a user with a last name spelled: LeDuc

Everytime he enters his name in a field on a form, it changes it to: Leduc

How can adjust to keep the spelling of his name this way: LeDuc?

I tried to do a search to see if this has been asked before, but I really didn't know how to search for this issue. I am sorry if this has already been asked at some time in the past.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jerome

Have you looked at the Allow Autocorrect property?

I just checked it and it was enabled, so I disabled it and it still did the Auto Correct, so that didn't work.

Any other ideas?

I'm going to make a guess here, because MicroSoft did a really dumb thing here (that's a novelty, isn't it?) and named two separate functions Auto Correct!

If you went to Tools > Options > General the Auto Correct you unchecked has to do with tracking the names of controls within your database. If this is engaged and you change the name of a control, Access will change the name of the control anywhere that it appears within code. This is not the Auto Correct you want for your purposes!

You want to goto Tools > Auto Correct. Here you can do a number of things, including turning the feature off or entering exceptions that aren't to be corrected.

I found out what the problem was.

I forgot that I had put some vb code in for that field on the OnExit Event that formatted the name that was typed in. I just removed that code and messed with the settings you described and everything works now.

Thanks so much for all of your help!!!!
