This is my first time of clustering 3300's so this might be a dumb question. I have clustered 2 via IP trunks...everything works fine...ARS, calls go through great but when I call from one cluster to another...in other words ext #6500/John Smith calls 7501/Bill Miller....7501 only sees J Smith 6500 instead of John Smith 6500. Not a big deal but we have several people with the same first letter and last name. If that is the way it should be that's fine...just want to make sure I didn't miss a class of service feature. Thanks for any help.

Calls across trunks modify the name in Pre-MCD 4.0 systems.

MCD 4.0 delivers the full name.

No Luck...double checked names. Will not deliver first name just the intial of the first name to the other clustered 3300..directories are synced and forms are shared. Must be a COS feature missing but I can find it.

What software version?

MCD 4.0 SP1 which is i believe 10.0.1.23

Well that being the case I fell I might need to retract my earlier statement. It was based on a very recent experience that I now realize my have been faulty observation.

The first part however mostly remains true:

Calls across trunks modify the name. 1st intitial last name is the expected result. This can be overcome by entering the name into the system without the comma separation but this would cause issues with the phonebook search.

Sorry for getting your hopes up.

It worked ok prior to Release 8 UR 3 and to my knowledge has never been fixed.

No it did not work prior to Rel 8 UR3, I opened a ticket with Mitel around 7.1 on this subject. A DPAR has never been initiated and recent experiences I've already explained.
