Hi,

There is a problem with Caller ID on a digital 3903 w/DN 4001 (example). The name change has been performed using ld 95 and when I called DN 4000, the correct name displays on my 3903. When I received a test call from 4001, the correct name displays on my test 3903. However, when ext 4001 makes calls to an analog 500 set w/DN 7001, the name of the previous user of DN 4001 shows up. I called 7001 to make sure that there was no speed dial set-up on that local analog phone that 'may' be interfering with the Caller ID coming from 4001 and there was a speed dial set-up with the previous user's name. This has been cleared from the analog set (DN 7001), but the Caller ID from calls originating at 3903 w/DN 4001 still show up with the previous user's name. So now I bring it to the forum to see if any suggestions can be made to help with this issue.

Thank you!!!!

Are there two DNs on one of these phones, and the name is coming from line 2?

LD 20 - Print a TNB on each of the phones in question.

LD 95 - OUT the NAME on the DNs in question

LD 95 - NEW the name on the DNs in question.

Changing NAME is known to have bugs. OUTing and NEWing does not have any bugs.

Thank you ghtrout!!!! I had checked into the line 2 possibility earlier and there was no line 2 assigned so that got ruled out... per your advice, I used the Out command and New command instead of Changing Name (which I did use before)... I've asked the site to test it out again and hopefully this will resolve it!!!!

quick question: does this Changing name bug cause certain destinations to see updated CallerID and other destinations to recieve the old CallerID... the reason I ask is that so far only 1 phone is displaying incorrect CallerID, the phone I was using displayed everything correctly... just curious as to the nature of the bug... thank you again!
