3G NAM with 8 channels being upgraded to 14 channels. The aquisition of 6 channel keycode from the IVR went without a hitch. The PEC card was installed before the keycode. But I caught the following after the customer did it. When I asked if the astericks went to (a)'s for the next 8 channels they told me that the asteriks did not change. They installed the key code which promptly told them they were doing the upgrade out of sequence, though it mentioned the 8 to 14 channels initially as it should have been. So I am fairly sure they didn't fat finger the intial channels, plus I had someone check the keycodes too for validity. So initially i figure the PEC card is bad or the MSBIC. The PEC card isn't it. So am I on the right track with suspecting the MSBIC? I don't want to run round wasting time if it's possibly something else. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks........ :) darnold@americaii.com

you might want to check the min's and max's if this is a co res system. There was an itas tip on upgrade failures due to incorrect min's and max's
incorrect positioning of the mspec??
just a couple of thoughts off the top....

did you do a reboot on the NAM after the keycodes were entered? just a question.

I checked them... the mins and max.... i know..thought of that later.. 65553..or whatever.... Thanks darnold@americaii.com
