the letter "B"..really just a patch for software issues ...nam went to i believe "E" then to 4.1...each had its problems...if your under contract the software upgrade is free from 4.0 to 4.1 or at least it was...
Thanks, just as I suspected....someone "more learned" than I told me that the A stood for made in America and the C was for made in Canada.
More specifically what the problem is, we have a Mics DR 4.1, the NAM with the C died, I swapped it out with a spare A we had, it basically works but I have a DID that used to go to a mailbox, now it goes straight to the afterhours CCR all the time. No switch programming was changed and it took the restore discs ok.
Ideas?
I suspect we are going to the C NAM repaired.
I was really impressed that the backup discs restored recordings, not just structure.
There is no phone associated with the DID number, symptoms are the same whether AA line answer is Y or N, and whether
CFNA is set or not.
When the old NAM died I did a restore from a backup in April and did not change any programming.

Thanks for being so responsive. I have tried every variable I can think of regarding CFNA, CFB, line programming, but the only thing that does not change is going to the mailbox, otherwise it's RNA or CCR...
I strongly suspect that it is going to be a software issue'
