I have a NAM with 4.0.04C software that I am trying to upgrade to 4.1.05. I have done many of these upgrades and never had a problem before now. I boot the system with the floppy 4.1 bootdisk and 4.1.05 CDROM. The VM acts like it is going to take the upgrade it gives a 7F code for 1-2 sec then goes 00 like it should but the upgrade is not working.
Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Here's the definition of the 7F:
7F Finished POST transferring to Hard Drive
Possible Problem: bad hard drive or attempting to boot from non-bootable floppy

Maybe the floppy drive is bad.
Can you do a backup?
If the drive is good, maybe the disk is bad. Try another?

If all else fails, get a CallPilot 150.
NAM's are MD/EOL and further problems await.

I have done a lot of these upgrades and this indicates either a bad boot disk or a bad floppy drive. I've encountered several bad floppy drives so this is definitely a possibility, but try creating another boot disk from the upgrade CD first as this is much easier than replacing the floppy drive.
