You will need to obtain the 4.1 upgrade software and a backpack external cd-rom to perform the upgrade.

I think it was the secuity code I was thinking of.
Here is the procedure.....you must read and make sure you have enough hard drive space etc before attempting.
As for cost I would say a lot for do it yourself and maybe 3 hrs to have a vendor do it as they have the know how, the CD backpack etc.
