Upgrading a NAM 4.0 to 4.1 I was told by my distibuter that I need to order two part #'s: NTAB3388(software) and NTAB3391(keycodes). Load the software first and if the upgrade is successful keycodes will not be needed. If not successful, keycodes are needed. Now they tell me they can't get either part #. I tried another distributer and they told me to upgrade to 4.1 it is listed as part #NTAB3391 - that's it, no NTAB3388. After much discussion I was told that everything I need will be in that package. Help!

if nam was manufactured as a 4.0 its just a free upgrade from nortel...find a new distribitor

Thanks for replying. I took the system over about 6 months ago and I think(not sure) that it may have been upgraded to 4.0 at some point. Does that make a difference? There is a NAM capabilities floppy inside the cabinet door(as well as the backups that I have done)
If it is a free upgrade how do I go about pursuing that? Other than going to Nortels website and downloading some product literature I have never done anything directly with Nortel.

i believe if it has been upgraded to 4.0 it needs a keycode..if you supplier cant get you keycodes then find a new supplier...if you have a 4.0 nam that was manufactured as 4.0 the search nortels website"you may not have access" but it is a free upgrade

Free for Nortel partners, but if you are going grey market, obviously you are at their mercy.

Yes, luv2ski is correct in saying that if it was upgraded to 4.0 you will need the keycodes. So in order to accomplish your upgrade to 4.1, you would need both part numbers NTAB3391 and NTAB3388. I'm not sure who your suppliers are or why they are giving you conflicting info but I have done this both ways.
