Could someone please clarify the upgrade process on the NAM to V 4.1- The Software Add on Guide states that a keycode upgrade is necessary but there is also a blurb that if the NAM is already at 4.0 that the keycode is NOT necessary. Please advise...Thanks ahead of time..

You should be good to go without the keycode from 4.0 to 4.1, reason being I believe is because 4.1 is a free fix to the problems with 4.0 if I recall.
The best way to tell if you need to buy a keycode is to look at the software keycodes already installed on the nam.
If there is a keycode installed, then chances are pretty good you dont need another one.
If there is not a keycode installed, then you will need to purchase an upgrade keycode.
It really depends on how and when you got your 4.0 to begin with. I have seen both cases.

If you have the upgrade software package, the keycodes needed are on the bootdisk (floppy).
