you require a key code to upgrade to 3.0. the type and number of tones help describe the nature of the fault. E.G. if there are five(?) "decending" tones repeated indefinatly the keycode is invalid. other problems might be not enough harddrive space, or incorrect/not connected backpack cd rom drive.
It used to be a NAM 12 with Cinphony 2 on it advertised as having VM also, in fact some have said that the VM feature is there by default but I dont see it and the thing does not see the KSU at all.
So, I tried to delve into the process and attempt to upgrade using the archaic OS/2.
I have installed ACD to systems but just not a total conversion like this.
The unit is copper with a board that doesnt recognize a bigger HDD than 528M, I think I need a new Board and whatever, I think I'll stop the check today ha ha this seems like it is a bad one.
Ummm so what you have there is an acd with copper dvc cards. The hard drive size sounds right. 540 meg was the largest the nam 1 would handle. You are attempting to convert this unit to a voicemail 3.0......It is doable but....You will need keycodes for ports and the jump to 3.0. your only real hope is to format the drive and load 2.1 from scratch ( losing codes for ports ) and then install keycode for 3.0 and upgrade. Or take the acd back to the guy that sold it to you and get your money back. If you look on the front of the unit it will tell you what it left the factory as (acd 12, nvm etc ) good luck
