NAM programming and compatability

I have a NAM 4.0 that I need to install replacing a Flash 4 port on a MICS 4.1. I would like to know if you can pre-program the NAM without it being attached to a KSU. Also, are these two versions compatible?

No you cannot pre-program the NAM, and yes the 2 versions you mentioned are compatible.
