NAM Multi user access to recordings? 1

Hey All,

Knowing this could be put to a field test but as it is 1230AM I will take the easy route and post a question:

With say a six channel NAM, how many dial-ins can listent to an Info Mail Box at one time?
Yup six dial-ins can get to the NAM, but will they all get to the info Mbox and hear the info?

PhM, I only have 3 lines available but just tested it and they all got to the info message at the same time. I recorded a info message on option 1 off of the home menu.

Yes they would. Six is the number, the number of ports and/or simultaneous users. Remember, a mailbox no matter how we label it, is still a mailbox. Information mailboxes are a different class of service, so to speak. I make this point to illustrate that it would be the same as six users, sitting at their desk or arriving back from lunch, opening their mailboxes as it would for six callers to arrive at the information mailboxes.
What comes into play would be what happens to the seventh caller! And that depends on your software version. Some of the later MICS software has more advanced call cueing features (that have been on the compact ICS from the beginning).
But the good news is that six users would almost never hit the boxes at the same time, although the longer the message, the more problems you will have.
This is why they invented ACD, so you can cue callers.

Thanks for all the response. DueE you got it. Thanks for taking the time.
Good to know that the NAM will provide multi user access at the same time to the same info box. I have a set up to do where this will become an issue.
