NAM message delivery delay

My cutomer is reporting that their NAM is delaying the delivery of messages by several hours. I have not been to site yet (going later) but I have not experienced this before and am looking for some insight. They have said that they will be at theira desk at 3 pm when the "Message for you" appears. When they check it, the time stamp is for 9 am. Any help is appreciated.

What version is the NAM and the MICS?
If it is an older NAM, the trouble may be in the hard drive.
