MICS 5.0 & NAM 3G 4.0 8channels is crashing. The NAM is rebooted and works fine for a while then will crash again.
Event 609 being reported many times. The No Emulator Running statement is what I am seeing in the alarm&event manual. What does this mean? Is it probably the KSU software or is this problem likely residing in the NAM?

Thanks for the help

What is the exact release of the NAM? R4.04A had problems with channels "going to sleep." R4.04C took care of this bug.

You may also need to load the R4 patch for the MICS R5 to turn off "Redirect DN." This can also be turned off by using the Voicemail Manager portion of Remote Utilities. Brian Cox

It's a C. And the Redirect setting is No, so that's not the issue. Thanks for the input.

Redhawk,
I've seen this before. Are you running coresident programs such as an ACD?

Nothing added, no ACD. I'd like to say there was but there isn't. I guess it's corrupt software. It's been defaulted already.

Redhawkfla,
The units that had the problems were both running and not running coresident programs. Even defaulted they continued to have the problem. I'm not sure through following the problems on this post that the issue isn't really with the Rls 5 software being flat out flakey with NAM 4.x.
I havn't sold a new combo purposefully to avoid these issues. I hope Rls 6 and a bigger Call Pilot will put the old NAM to bed for good.
Post back a tell me if the NAM is stable over the long haul.

Itas tip #218 Gothham nam switch settings. sw2 (below battery and closest to front edge) from the factory...
1,off 2,off 3,off 4,on 5,on 6,off 7,off 8,on
change switch 3 from off to on so it looks like..
1,off 2,off 3,on 4,on 5,on 6,off 7,off 8,on
ensure access version 4.2.1.00g
gothham nam's can be identified by the green led's in front case.

should have also included... this slows the system speed from 3?? mHz to 166 MHz

Thanks Arr and Westcoaster... nice input.
