It has been asked whether the Password expiry parameter in the COS on a NVM 4.+ can be set to '0' - indefinite.

Anyone know??

Yes it can be done my friend but you need to do it thru Norstar Manager software with laptop. ~Will Nortel soon be NoTel??~

Curly,
You're up late eh? Is the parameter in plain sight in the GUI?

Cause I am sick at home and high on prescribed cough syrup all week lol,
Bah I need to see it but look for sumthin settings on the right side of NM software and poke around, you will find it with ease just searching :) ~Will Nortel soon be NoTel??~

CC,
Thanks. I'll remember and pass it on. Hope you don't have the same thing I do... been going on for a month. Still can barely speak. Customers love it. Some suggest that I produce the first ever Marcel Marceaux Video phone.

to change the password expiry, yes you'll need to access the nam via NVM. Along the top tool bar, you'll need to click on "System Parameters" then "Edit Class Of Service"
then choose the class of service you need to change. You'll then see all the parameters of that COS. I could be wrong about the tool bar, but it does say something about system parameters, forgive me I'm doing this from memory.

I made an error and said Norstar Manager but ment Norstar Voicmail Manager and there is 2 versions NVM 3.0 and 4.0 so you will need NVM 4.0. which both versions are on the same CD.
And Roldan has a better memory then I :)
