On a NAM1 "Batcave" how can you direct connect to edit the COS. I used to have the procedures. I believe you connected on the opposite COM port (A instead of B) and you use hyperterm or similar. Can someone give me the procedures(baud, pswd etc...)?

Also, if this NAM is upgraded to 4.0sw does this mean I can now use 4.0 NVM Mgr. ? And direct connect to COM B as if it were a NAM3G "Gotham"?

Thanks ...

connect to com A with null modem cable
set terminal program to 9600 8N1
pick a language
password is ADMIN all caps
at detailed mode, just hit enter
(the next thing might not be there if so just skip)
at access server menu, choose application administation
at app admin menu choose norstar voice mail
password is SYSMGR all caps again(book say pw is admin)
(password for access server is 2223772)
choose 3, system admin and config
choose 3, modify class of sevice profiles

If you have Norstar Voicemail Mananger 3.0 or 4.0 you can connect via your modem from your PC, Just plug a line into the NAM modem or use the MSBIC Modem on the newer units, you have to enable the Virtual modem in Access Server. You would connect via Dial Up Connection.

Not the exact question I had... but thanks. I needed a variation of connection answered. This is a "Batcave" NAM. Again, thanks. darnold@americaii.com
