I've got a NAM Copper 4.0.4c that is having some problems. It was crashing after a day of usage. So we brought it back to the shop, and tested it on our bench - and it didn't crash again. (Very odd). The floppy had gone on it, so I put in a new one and did some backups. Now I'm trying to do a Feature 983 - 22 - to backup the voice tables, and it says "abort" after one disk.

Has anyone seen this? I did do a SEKUR backup fine, and tried several diskettes - but to no avail. Thanks!

Are your diskettes formatted and empty and not write protected?
Also, you are probably already doing this, but wait to insert the first disk until prompted to do it.

Yup - they are formatted, empty and not write protected. I've never had problems with others, I'm familiar with the process of how it works, just getting that abort error when inserting the first disk... Thanks!

You might try the SEKUR again to make sure the diskette drive is still working. I'm not used to seeing 4.0 on a copper NAM. Do you see the prompt for "calls completing" before the Insert disk prompt? Does the light light on the diskette drive, and do you hear the drive wind up?
