NAM Back-Up via USB alternative

I thought I would post this under a new heading. I found this device on YouTube. IT would replace the NAM's floppy drive:

What do you guys think, could this work?

Yes we did, problem now is they are getting bigger in size too so the smaller flashes are hard to get.

With this type of storage capacity would it now be possible to backup all of the voice files including current messages, greeting, auto attendants, etc?. Maybe even a daily scheduled back up?

No matter how big the media, the backup is only designed to save the configuration and greetings, not the messages.

Very interesting. Do you know what the history behind not backing up everything. I would think that that option would have been made available to the customer or vendor. I know it would have taken up a lot of diskettes but what if the system needed to be replaced and all the customers data transferred to a new NAM?
