I have a customer who has a NAM 4.0 and MICS 5.0. They have line 146 assigned to hg1 in hunt groups. The members are 125 (manager), 126, 127, 128 and 129. Previously when I had it set to ring line 146 on all of the sets they decided they got tired of it ringing all the members all the time. The problem is now when I removed line 146 from ringing the sets and switch to hg1 the group the voice mail of the manager (ext125) no longer answers when no one can get to the call.

What do I need to do so that line 146 will ring only an available ext 125, 126, 127, 128 and 129 and when no one answers say at night it goes to a general sales mailbox or ext 125's mailbox?

Any suggestions would help!

You would have to make a mailbox 707 (first hunt group DN) and assign it to Ext707. Then make the overflow set the first port of the voicemail (F985).

Initialize the box to be a General sales box. Then when no one can get to the call it will go into the General Sales box. You can set remote message notification to notify a DN (Ext125). When a message is left it will call this extension and when he picks up the phone, Silicon Sally will ask for the password. MRoberts

where do you program the remote message notification?

Thanks MS Roberts for the info...

You will go to the phone and do a F981, log into the box, when it comes up you'll see an admin button. Press that and then 6 on the dial pad for remote msg set up.

Hit Select to make sure msg notification is on. Then press Admin
