Me again...Muhaaaa..

Sorry. Ok.. Boss loves the form but.
Heres what he needs.

There is a field called "remaining" This fields tells us
how many hours are left to complete per job. What he would like to do is sum all the remaining hours for each job in production...I though easy! but he only wants those jobs that are in certain arears of the plant to be summed.
So I have to use the "production status" and only add up the remaining field if it is one of these.
CSR, Preflight, Components, Scheduling, Desktop, Mechanical, Film, Proofs, Plating, Partial*

i.e

Production status = any of the above take that number and it to the next job in production if it ='s that above.

Understand>>>>Ug.

Create a running total field. Insert, Field object, running total field, and pick the field to summarize. Make this summary based on a formula, and the formula is as follows:

{Production.Status} in ["CSR","Preflight","Components", "Scheduling","Desktop", "Mechanical","Film","Proofs","Plating","Partial"]

Finally reset on change of group, or reset=never, as the case may be.

If you need both group and grand totals, or need multiple group totals, you will need to create anotehr running total field for each of these.

The only part I don't understand is the reset=never.
Where does that go?

Thanks for the help dgillz

If you're actually creating a Running Total field object then there is are options on the dialogue form for 'Reset'. One of the options is 'Never'.

If you are building a running total using the three formula method, then the Initialize formula will go in the Report Header.
