hey all,

Any one have in depth knowledge of basic administration in regards to adding new hosts and delegating specific services to be monitored.

I have it installed, it is configured, not in the minimal configuration, but the big config. All I have to monitor is ping,http and hard drives for now. I set up the ping monitoring, but am still wondering about the syntax for the others in regard to the checkcommands.cfg and services.cfg

thanks

The same, really. The checkcommand for http would be
# 'check_http' command definition
define command{
command_name check_http
command_line $USER1$/check_http -H $HOSTADDRESS$
}

I think it's in the default configs somewhere; grep for "check_http".

Use "check_disk" to check the local disk. All the plugins typically have help if you supply --help as an argument.
