I have a Ver 3.1.02 Norstar Flash (4port)on a MICS running DR6.1
The voice mail defaulted at 8:30am, no power surges or outages. The restore card was also blank even though I did a backup 3 mos. ago. Had to hand rebuild system.
Any known problems that could cause a default like this? The customer is worried that it may happen again. (Unacceptable!).
There is a battery back up on the system.

It maybe a once in a lifetime occurance or it may repeat no gaurantees either way. You did everything we all would do to prevent it. Sorry don't have a better answer.

Get them a Call Pilot. Works better then the Flash voicemail.

Although you may have battery backups, surge protectors, etc. they will still allow low dip of power at one point of time or another. I had a battery backup on my PC one time, it kept the PC up and running fine, the monitor turn off momentarily. This may have happened to your Flash. Can't say this would be your case, its just a story.

Even though there was no power outage, was there a flicker of lights? (Customer will never tell you this)Also, I would test if the mem caps are even good. Program the voicemail and unplug the voicemail for several minutes and recycle power. If the program is still there, then your flash must have rebooted, clearing the memory.
