Here is what should be a no-brainer question. I have been updating a site at I have background images on every page. They show up great in IE but not in Netscape! I checked other sites that I have done and the background images look fine in Netscape. Am I missing a dot above an "i" or the cross of a "t?"

Please help.

I have used Dreamweaver/Homesite to update the site.

My only suggestion is put "" around the margins. NN is picky about syntax. Although the site looks good either way. DeZiner

I don't know exactly what you mean, but an interesting thing I found out.

If you set a background image for a table in IE it won't tile it for every cell, but NN will.
To set a background image for NS, make a big table with only one cell with the background image and build your table inside that big cell. But anyway, this will inherit the parent's background and it will tile it. For every cell in the table put a transparent gif (1 white transparent pixel) as background and this will solve the problem. I think you can put the transparent pixel for the nested table too, no need for every cell.

Good to know...and have fun

also instead of putting a transparent gif in to prevent netscape tiling background images in nested tables you can just specify

background=""

in the table tag and that will stop the problem
