I get a random popup add when I open IE. They are usually adult related. They come up soon after I've opened IE and then every 10 to 15 minutes after. I've used Ad Aware and Spybot but with no results. When the popups occur, I look check my temp internet files folder and find an html reference to rapidblaster. Any ideas on how I can get rid of this?

Thank you.

Follow these instructions:

Removal
Use the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs entry for 'RapidBlaster' (v1 variant) or 'rb32 lptt01' (lp variant).

To remove the AInst variant installer, go to the Downloaded Program Files folder inside the Windows folder, right-click the 'AInst' item and 'Remove' it.

After restarting, you can clear up by deleting the 'RapidBlaster' folder inside Program Files, and deleting the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\RapidBlaster' from the registry (Start->Run->regedit).

I uninstalled an entry called rb32 a few days ago not knowing what it was. I think this took care of most of your instructions above. I did find an rb32 folder in my Program Files directory. When I tried to delete it, it gave me an access denied error. I checked the Processes in my Task manager and found that rb32 was running. I killed it and then was able to delete the folder. I hope that takes care of the problem.

Thank you for helping me clear this up!
