I've just started with mysql. I'm reading a book called Teach your self MySQL by Mark Maslakowski.
1. When I trie to enter mysqladmin it seems a program runs then it shuts it self off.
2. The book says that you can use a text editor like WORD to write your scrpt then run it.
The command line is "bin/mysql -p </complete path/Temp.sql"
When I trie this in the mysql dos window I get error on line one.
Is the an easy way to write and run script on mysql?

Try using PHP to access your database. It is pretty easy and great for use with SQL databases. You will need to get a program that saves files with the .php3 extension
