I was having some problems with transactions on MySQL 4.1 and went to the Configure Service tab of the Server Control page in MySQL Administrator.
On there, support for InnoDB was not checked, which seemed odd since I have been using InnoDB tables. So I ticked it, at which point the Path to Binary text turned red. I played around a bit and the upshot was that I applied my changes and now the MySQL service will not start.
I am sure it was the ticking of InnoDB support which caused the problem but I cannot run the MySQL Adminstrator to put it back as it was.
I assumed that the changes would be saved in the My.ini file, but I cannot see where. I have also rerun MySQLInstanceConfig, but no luck.
Can anyone tell me how to get things running again and also why InnoDB support was not checked when I was running InnoDB tables?
Thanks.
