mysql tables not showing in crystal 8.5

hi there,
I have a mysql server running mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.18, for pc-linux (i686

I've created an odbc in windows to connect to it, and when i test the connection, it connects successfully.

However crystal reports 8.5 does not see any tables.

I've connected to other mysql machines and have not had a problem seeing the tables.

any ideas?

There is a known issue with CR 9:
