People,

I have a problem selecting sorted data from MySQL. My problem is the sort order with regard to the Danish diacriticals. MySQL insists on doing ABC...XYZÆÅØ (ealig, aring, oslash in the end) while the correct order is ABC...XYZÆØÅ (ealig, oslash, aring in the end).

This means that a 'SELECT name FROM table SORT BY name' will give a wrong list.

My guess is that this is because of the Swedish origin of the product, but that doesn't help me.

I have found solutions that suggests editing source code and recompiling, but this is not a solution for me, because I need to correct the problem on many servers - some on web hotels. So I need an (My)SQL-solution.

Any suggestions?
