I am a computer science major and because of the limited things that I'm learning in my classes, I'm trying to teach myself different things. One of them is MySQL. I'm using Windows 2000. I have downloaded the compressed zip file (mysql-3.23.58-win.zip) from the mysql.com site. I have saved the file on the C drive. After extracting the files to the C drive I tried to run the setup launcher (setup.exe). Nothing happens. Please help me fix this problem.
