Hi I like to use MySQL for one of the mobile application my company is developing. For optimal performance consideration, I prefer to store the database in the pocketpc to minimize network access since the records do not change frequently. However if the records do change, it should be easy to sync the records with the MYSQL server sitting in the network. Are there any commercial database available for PocketPC? Something similar to SQL Server Windows CE version?

what about using a flat file type of storage? then just upload new files to the handheld when the db params change sufficiently to warrant a new file load...

a quick search on google turned up these:

Object store database
ADOCE
OLEDB SDK (Q4 99)
Sybase – Oracle Lite – Raima – Codebase CE - Syware Visual CE – Syware ODBC for Windows CE – Bullet – 40th.com
DB2 Everywhere - Pervasive -
