My question is it possible to have my windows iis server to look for my database which is on linux 8.1 running Mysql.

you can always connect to your MySQL database from your Win boxes, as long as you configure your ODBC driver properly.

Are you using ASP, CF? I know if you run PHP in IIS you can access the MySQL databases that way. If you want IIS to direct;y access your data then you would probably want to use ODBC.
