I am running a linux system with 2 hard disks. I added a new hard disk some time ago. I have just been processing a large database and I find that it is filling up the remainging space on the old hard disk. I would like to put the database on the new hard disk which has lots of space.
Can anyone please tell me:-
Is this possible?
How do I do it?

You need to stop the server, copy the existing data directory to the new disc, edit /etc/mysql/my.cnf to specify the new location (change the "datadir" entry in the [mysqld] section), and restart the server.
