mysql ole db connection

Hi, i am trying to connect to a mysql database with oledb. I have installed myodbc3 and am using vb.net with visual studio 2005. When I try and connect using the following connection string:

"Provider=MySQLProv;location=localhost;Data Source=eurospec;User ID=" & Username & ";Password=" & Password & ";option=3;port=3306;"

I get a dialog box appearing called "MySQL Data Source Name Setup". I don't want to set up a dsn which is why I am using oledb.

Have I got this completely wrong and need a dsn to use oledb with mysql? or is my connection string wrong in some way? I just want to connect and no dialog boxes appear at all.
