MYSQL NEWBIE

I am a programmer and use SQL server and Access and XML along with ASP.

I have a client who is using MYSQL and he talking about me connecting and updating/reading the database etc etc remotely.

Can anyone please explain how MYSQL works and how I could update it remotely over the internet?

Is their a client piece?

I just do not know where to start.

Any help greatly appreciated

I am a newbie myself. There are a few programs that you can use as an interface to the MySQL DB. One is phpmyadmin. My web host automatically provides the gui, but you can download it along with other similar programs. Just do a search either in this site or on Google. Hope that helps.
