MySQL - How to stop it and uninstall.

I need to uninstall MySQL from OS X Snow Leopard. When I tried to shut down the server using "sudo launchctl unload -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.mysql.mysqld.plist" it closed my terminal window. I restarted terminal, and found MySQL was still running. Can anyone tell me how to stop the server and COMPLETELY remove the thing from OS X? I'd really appreciate it.
