Hi,

I'm fairly new to mySQL and would like to know which gui clients are used the most and which are the best.

Right now I am using SQLyog, but that does not seem to be very widely used.

thnx

Personally I use: SQLyog.

It's has plenty of features and is easy to use. sadly it lacks the ability to connect to several DB's at once like MySQL's own MysqlCC(control center) did. But since CC is no longer being produced, I had to change to SQLyog which so far has been satisfactory.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

And don't forget MySQL Query Browser and MySQL Administrator, both available free from the MySQL site.

I also use the MySQL versions

I've grown fond of Aqua Data Studio which is free for Personal/Educational/Home/Non Commercial use.

there is one called mydbstudio that is pretty fast and easy, free. a few bugs, and errors are in french, but overall, easy and quick for making tables and quick edits. i also always have the mysql administrator and querybrowser (painfully slow with dbs with lots of tables) - they always work.

I've always used PHP MyAdmin in the past to administer my databases, but found it a little fustrating sometimes.

Recently i've started using some of the stuff from 'DBTools' and been reasonably happy, although it can be a little slow at times whilst updating tables and suchlike
