I've used MySQL-Front for a while now.

Today I hit the site for the app(

and got the disturbing page, "This project has been discontinued."

Does anyone know anything more than this? ______________________________________________________________________

I wondered the same thing...good thing the program still works...I would be at a loss trying to add tables, and data via command line.. oh man. www.vzio.com

Since I posted the original message, I contacted Ansgar Becker, the author of the program. My German is very rusty High German and he apparently normally speaks the Bavarian dialect of the language, but the gist of our email conversation was that he had other projects that required his attention.

MySQL-Front is apparently very popular -- Herr Becker stated that MySQL-Front was running about 1000 downloads a day.

I asked him about allowing others to continue development, but he said that he prefers to keep the project under his control. From that I infer that he will continue development when he finds the time.
