Hi, I'm getting prompted for username and passwd when running reports on the web.

I'm using crystal Enterprise 8.0 on 2k server, with a mysql version 3.23.58 database, (linux).

The reports are served to the web by apache using the crystal web connector.

This setup is considered "unmanaged" .

I have the mysql db setup with an odbc connection on the 2k server were CE runs. When I run the reports from a client machine in
CR8.5, they run fine and do not prompt for the mysql's username and password.

However, when running reports on the web, I get prompted for mysql's username and password by CE.
If I enter the username and password, it DOES validate the db and report runs, however I do not want to be prompted for this, or give out this information.

I've read other posts where the username and passwd are passed by ASP's but Since this is "unmanaged" reporting, we don't use ASP's.

It seems like a permissions problem, where either a web server (apache) service, or a CE service doesn't have
permissions to access the mysql database, but I don't know how to go about troubleshooting. I don't even know the names of any services I should check. Mysql logging does not give any information about whats happening either.

Any Ideas?
