Hello,

I am desperately in need of help. I have a Mysql db in machine A on Linux. I took a mysqldump of the db. I restored the dump on to machine B running Linux. It works fine. It gets restored to /var/lib/mysql ( The path in machine A is same). But the db does not get restored fully - 3 tables of the whole 15 only get restored. The dump is verified. It has all the tables.

Thanks & Regards,
Srinivasan.

hi!

Maybe you don't have enougth rights to create tables, maybe you could read them but you could not write them

Is it possible that you are restoring mixed tables (MyISAM, InnoDB) into a database that only supports non transaction safe tables (older than 3.23)?

I invite you to carry on this discussion on the T.C.X. Datakonsult AB MySQL forum where I usually write and where sleipnir will probably sort out your problem.

Bye

If the database has little size why don't you transfer it with ftp.
