ISSUE:
======
I have made many attempts with a variety of Export and Import Settings to get date from only a few tables from the older version of WordPress to the new version of WordPress.

I have verified that table structures are virtually the same, same fields and types etc "I think".

However NO MATTER what I seem to do I keep getting the following error message
IMPORT ERROR MESSAGE from phpMyAdmin as follows:

ERROR:
"Invalid field count in CSV input line 1"

I have posted on WordPress and various other forums without ONE reply. This is a very popular blog with 2 years of posts, comments and link backs that has been down now for several days. It would be devastating to loose this.

I would be VERY greatfull for some help with resolving this.

Thanks!

Could we perhaps see an example of your CSV? By the error it seems that your DB is expecting a specific amount of fields delimited by a comma, but is getting a different amount.

----------------------------------
Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Turns our with much persistence, I have resolved the issue. The deliminators were the issue. I was using the standard commas but there was a couple of fields that contained text and a bunch of commas in the body. So I changed it to some other more recognizable character. I also had some import settings wrong. I used CSV for LOAD DATA and that worked better than just CSV alone.

Thanks so much for the reply vacunita!
