MySQL Currency format

I have a MS Access 2000 front end and a MySql BE. I want the FE to show $ amounts with two decimals. I have tried changing my field in MySql to decimal (10,2) but my FE always rounds to the nearest whole digit. I have set Access to currency and 2 digits. Can someone show me where I am going wrong?
