Hello, I'm working with a mysql backup that was 175mb and after I restored it I made a new backup and the size of the file was now only 65mb. Anyone ever come across this before? I haven't changed anything in the database after the restore, I just did my own backup. The larger backup was passed on to me so I'm not sure if different options were selected. Is that possible? I do know that the larger backup did have the following Advanced Options selected
*InnoDB Online Backup
*Complete Backup

I used MySQL administrator. Just used the default backup options and under Advanced Options I selected *InnoDB Online Backup and *Complete Backup

Any thoughts? Thanks

It could be a problem with either the restore or the backup.

If you do a diff comparison of the contents of the two files, the differences should become apparent. Then you can compare that against the database contents.
