mysql and win98

Please say how to make mysql as the service to win98? in instalation process this option is inactive, or maybe i must use some older mysql version?
 
Look in the MySQL manuals for installation details and OS requirements. For V3.2 to V 4.1 try:
For the latest version (currently 5.1)

I don't think Windows 98 supports services in the same way as NT onwards. You would have to arrange for the MySQL server (mysqld.exe) to be started automatically at boot time. This can probably be done by putting a shortcut to that program in the Start Menu - Programs - Startup directory. It can certainly be done by adding a registry entry, but you might not want to go there.
